Steel of West Virginia to lay off 53 workers, cites economy, winter construction slowdown

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — More than 50 Steel of West Virginia Inc. workers will be out of work by the end of November.

President Tim Duke said the layoffs of 53 workers will leave the company with about 300 employees.
